This huge 16 feet across backyard water slide/lagoon has two water slides and a small lagoon near the front of the play area. Included in the Big Blue Lagoon is an air blower that plugs into a 120V outlet so it can inflated fast. Also included are a patch kit for minor repairs and 12 total stakes (eight for the water park itself and four for the air blower). For those with kids and a lot of money to blow ($599 retail), this should be a fun distraction.

Lego Ice Cube Trays - What Would You Build?

Create your own ice sculptures with Lego Ice Cube Trays (or Ice Brick Tray as Lego calls it). The ice cube trays are made entirely of silicone so unlike traditional plastic ice cube trays, they will take a lot more punishment. And punishment they will take when you have kids (yeah Dad counts as a kid too) in the house. Each one of the Lego Ice Cube Trays lets you make 10 ice bricks at a time, so you will be need a lot of of these trays if you want to make crazy ice sculptures. Still, Lego came up with a pretty clever idea.

You can get your dirty little hands on it directly from the Lego store.

i-Cat Musical Pet

Much like the i-Dog, the i-Cat is cat-lover's desktop pet. It is more of novelty than anything else, but you can connect the iPod (or any other mp3 player) to the i-Cat and her face lights different colors to reflect her mood based on what song it's currently playing. If you rub her nose, hip-hop DJ scratching sounds come out of it.

The Xbox 360 HD-DVD Player is one the best HD-DVD player on the Market

What makes the Xbox360 HD-DVD player add-on one of the best HD-DVD players on the market is its price. Coming in at only $199, the player is a bargain for those of you who already own an Xbox 360. For those that do not, the price of an Xbox 360 Core System, plus the HD-DVD player add on is still the same price for what you pay for a stand-alone HD-DVD player unit. Not only that, the current stand-alone units are only capable of outputting at 1080i at this time, while the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player add-on is capable of outputting a 1080p signal through component cables or through a VGA connection (although there are reports that some televisions might have some compatibility issues displaying 1080p through VGA when using the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player add-on).

The unit works extremely simple. You simply plug the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player to one of the Xbox 360's USB ports, install the software that comes with the player, and plug the HD-DVD player add-on to the wall with the included power supply and cord. The software you need to install allows your Xbox 360 to recognize the player and adds the capability to view HD-DVD content on your Xbox 360.

Picture quality for this device is outstanding. It easily trumps the Toshiba HD-A1 and the Toshiba HD-XA1 by virtue of 1080p support alone, though video quality is about equal if you are viewing the movies via 1080i and 720p televisions.

There are a couple of downsides to this player that are worth mentioning however. Aside from the simple fact that you will need an Xbox 360, the Xbox 360 unfortunately does not offer HDMI support. In addition, although the drive runs fairly quiet, the actual Xbox 360 console runs loud. So, unless you have the systems enclosed, the noise level might affect your movie watching experience. That aside, the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player is thus far, best HD-DVD player on the market.

For a limited time you can get the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player bundled with a copy of Peter Jackson's King Kong HD-DVD movie and the Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote for $199.99.

Elmo TMX has the last laugh

The Elmo T.M.X. will make you laugh hysterically. Just dare tickle him and you will see Elmo literally fall to the floor laughing. The more you tickle him the more uncontrollable his laughter gets. He falls to the floor and rolls around kicking slapping his knees, hitting the floor and laughing as you enjoy the show with a smile from ear to ear. It's no wonder the new tickle me Elmo x-treme is laughing itself off the shelves this Holiday season.

Elmo is said to be one of the hottest toys this season and for that reason is hard to find. Fisher Price, the maker of the Tickle Me Elmo TMX doll, is struggling to keep up with demand for this toy. It seems that the dolls leave the shelves before they even get a chance to go on.

The Elmo TMX has a retail price of $39.99 and is geared toward ages of 18 months and up. The only thing that's not so funny about the Elmo TMX is trying to get your hands on one before christmas.

The Playstation 3 Powerhouse

We are almost sure you've heard by now that the new Sony Playstation will be released in November 17th. In fact, the news channels are already predicting the end of the universe when the system is released due to the scarcity of the product. And with only 400,000 units shipping in the United States and 100,000 units in Japan, the Playstation 3 will no doubt be extremely hard to find. But what's with the hype?

For starters, the Sony Playstation 3 packs a megaton of a punch. It is powered by a 3.2GHz Cell Processor, a 550MHz NVIDIA RSX Graphics Card along with 512MB of RAM. This means the Sony Playstation 3 will be capable of pushing polygons, millions of them, with relative ease. Coupled with the fact that the console can perform all sorts of graphics enhancements in its sleep, you get gorgeous looking games like Motorstorm and Resistance Fall of Man ? games that push the boundaries of how video games should look and sound.

The console also features free online play, although Sony has not yet revealed what their online service will look or feel like. Sony did announce that you will be able to download Playstation and Playstation 2 games through its online service. Like the Nintendo Wii, the Playstation 3 will also support independent developers by allowing them to create games for the Sony Playstation online service.

Unlike the Nintendo Wii which can sense the controller in 3D space, the Playstation 3 SIXAXIS controller only introduces tilt control. Some people swear by the Dual Shock Playstation 2 controller, but after the Nintendo Wii and the XBOX 360 controller, the SIXAXIS just doesn't feel as ergonomic as you would expect from a next generation console.

What do we really like about the Playstation 3? Believe it or not it's the fact that you can play blu-ray movies. That means that for $599 (or $499 for the basic version of the Playstation 3) you can play 1080p blu-ray movies in your 1080p high-definition television. If you look at it that way, you get an extremely powerful console for $399 and a pretty good blu-ray disc player for $200. That's not a bad deal specially when you take into consideration that it will probably be a couple of years before blu-ray DVD players retail for $200 dollars anyway.

I think both the Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii can share your living room. The Playstation 3 will no doubt feature gorgeous looking games that play the "old way", while the Nintendo Wii will feature a completely new way to experience gaming. Why pass out on either one of those?

The Nintendo Wii is Almost Here

It's been over 4 years since the launch of the Nintendo Gamecube, a video game system with amazing games that was underappreciated by many in the mainstream media. Here we are now, only a couple of weeks before the release of the Nintendo Wii and how things have changed. The Nintendo Wii is THE hottest video game console of 2006. And here is why.

The Nintendo Wii is tiny ? roughly the size of three standard DVD cases. It has a slick white casing reminisce of an Apple iPod and a hypnotizing blue LED light where you feed the console the game. The games are controlled with a Wii Remote which is basically a controller that looks like a tiny remote control.

Unlike other systems, the Wii Remote is able to detect motion and tilt in 3D-space. What the hell does that mean? It means that if the game has a door, instead of pressing a button on a controller, you literally perform a door opening motion to open the door. It also means that to play a bowling game you no longer need to point an arrow where you want the ball to go, you do the bowling motion as if you were bowling in real life. The system immerses you in the game. And that's really what everyone is excited about: How you can control your character and the world around you.

Additionally, Nintendo calls the Wii a "virtual console." You buy points at a retailer and with those points you can buy classic Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis and Turbo Graphics 16 games. On top of that, independent developers will be able to release completely new, simple pick-up and play games for the "virtual console."

The system launches with 1 Wii Remote, 1 nunchuck attachment, a copy of Wii Sports, composite a/v cables (sorry guys, component cables will need to be purchased separately ? what the hell Nintendo?), and the Wii console itself for $249.99. We could probably fill 10 pages with information, but we recommend you check out the official Nintendo Wii web site or video-game specific web sites for more in-depth information about the system.

We have already pre-ordered our Nintendo Wii, and of course, the new Zelda game to play in our offices.
